This week’s Urban Landscapes Guestmix will not come from a top DJ or producer. Nope, not this one. Sometimes, it’s good just to get a pure music lover’s perspective. So the show will feature music from Austria, courtesy of the one and only S.O.S., aka Sweet Susie. She’s a fan and a fixture in Vienna who’s very familiar with the groovy and eclectic music that’s good and wonderful. She’s planned events in the past, as well as some DJing every now and then. This week’s Urban Landscapes Guestmix comes from a couple of Germans who live on the same street. Mosten and Malente have previously collaborated on an EP from the UK’s Splank label. Malente alone has a rather sizable output of his brand of electrofunkybreakz biz, and a few albums under his belt (including the terrific remix album “Rip It Up,” which was released last year). MandM have a new EP called “The 2 and Only,” the title track of which you can listen to as part of the mix. Malente’s new album is scheduled to roll out this year on Unique, so keep your eyes peeled.
