Wassup?

The web site was temporarily down for a few days, but in case you might not notice it’s back up and running now. Thanks for your patience if you were one of the peeps trying to access it and ended up with a 404 error.

Also of note, Giant Step is having issues with its current Jukebox player that hosts this radio show, among many others. A replacement media player will happen soon, but until that time no new shows will be posted. I’ll send you word when the new player is ready on its site.

Some fresh guestmixes are coming your way, but this week the mix comes from Amar Patel. As one of the players for the revered Straight No Chaser magazine out of London, Amar is in as good a position as any to share both upfront tunes and classic jazz rarities all in one. He’s created a mix that reflects the diverse music selection that Straight No Chaser has been known to cover, and he’s gracious allowed me to share the mix with the rest of you. And if you’re ever in London, he has a club event called Basement Soul. It’ll start up again on May 25th at the May Bedroom in Shoreditch, East London. Do your best to catch it, if you can.
