Velanche has started to learn the art of DJing in early 2000, and since then has developed his skills and tastes in the fine art of DJ culture.

Along with several of the Jivari gigs, he has spun locally in places such as the ECOLSLO New Year’s Eve Party in 2003, the official San Luis Obispo Mardi Gras after-party in 2004, and at the Voice of Exchange (VOX) spoken word event in Los Angeles. He’s opened for acts such as John Arnold and Jeremey Ellis and Breakestra.

He has also done exclusive radio mixes for the Lime Sorbet show, as well as the Kontrapunkt Radio show with Eddy Ramich. More radio mixes are forthcoming, and requests will be considered.

A passionate leftfield supporter of bruk, nu-jazz, different flavors of house, future soul and downtempo, Velanche is just as much at ease with a variety of international club jazz sounds, soul and funk (he’s a soul brother, after all!), choice hip-hop, and jazz. He can set a sophisticated mood, or go primal with his selection of tunes in his crates.
